I rescued a broken 8 x 10 frame from the garbage and turned it into a springy chalkboard. I painted the glass with 2-3 coats of chalkboard paint and the frame green.
I got the chalkboard paint for my birthday and picked up some chalk at Target with a giftcard. Cost $0 out of pocket.
I love chalkboard paint!!!!!! My Aunt did all her kitchen cabinets in it...its so pretty...and now her teenagers each have a cabinet to write their schedules on, her hubby leaves her notes above the coffee pot...and she writes her menu for the week above the pantry!! Its so cute and earthy...cause think of all the paper she saves :)
